The Family & Children's Council offers Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter Training, which is a quarterly certification/re-certification training session in child abuse identification and reporting. MTR training is available both in person and online.

Parent education presentations are offered to middle and high school students to reinforce the responsibilities involved in being a good parent, such as patience, knowledge of age appropriate behaviors and discipline, and the financial investments a parent needs to make in their child(ren).

FCC also offers a resource guide for parents called "What's Where In Parenting." This publication offers a directory of local programs and services for children and families. It is distributed annually to teachers, counselors, medical personnel, parents and any member of Black Hawk County, or surrounding counties.
