The Family & Children's Council offers
Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter
Training, which is a quarterly
certification/re-certification training session in child
abuse identification and reporting. MTR training is
available both in person and online.
Parent education
presentations are offered to middle and high
school students to reinforce the responsibilities involved
in being a good parent, such as patience, knowledge of age
appropriate behaviors and discipline, and the financial
investments a parent needs to make in their child(ren). |

FCC also offers a resource guide for parents
called
"What's Where In Parenting." This publication
offers a directory of local programs and services for
children and families. It is distributed annually to
teachers, counselors, medical personnel, parents and any
member of Black Hawk County, or surrounding counties.
